Everything you wanted to know about STRATAGILITY®
-
What is Stratagility®Stratagility® is a contemporary version of strategic planning. It overcomes the inherent drawbacks of "traditional" strategic planning processes and ensures a practical, actionable and relevant plan while energising and motivating your team.
-
What's the difference between a strategic plan and a business plan?A business plan is usually prepared before a business is established or when capital is being raised. By definition it is strictly for businesses. A strategic plan is (or should be) an integral part of running an organisation - it is based on its current position, its desired destination, the gap between them, and how to narrow it. It can be compared to going on a road-trip - you know where you are, where you want to get to, why you want to get there, and plan your journey based on the resources at your disposal (or those you can get or create). A strategic plan is an essential tool for commercial as well as charitable organisations.
-
Is Stratagility® for my organisation? The short answer is YES. Regardless of the size, type, or lifecycle stage, every organisation needs a robust, agile, and actionable strategic plan at all times.
-
What are Stratagility®'s benefits? At the end of a Stratagility® workshop you will have: - a clear view of where you want your organisation to be and the way you want it to look - a set of common team values - a list of activities that will drive your organisation in the next 12-36 months - a detailed 12 months plan, split into quarters targets, with accountable leaders, KPI's and due dates - a sample weekly tasks list After the workshop you will review the tasks on a weekly basis, the quarterly targets every quarter and the entire plan every year. This will ensure that the plan is always on track and relevant.
-
How long does it take?Stratagility® starts with a one-day workshop (can be split into two half-days). It is followed by an internal weekly review meeting, a quarterly targets review (with a Stratagility® facilitator, if you have one), and an overall review of the WHERE?, WHAT, and HOW? once a year.
-
Do you need a consultant to create Stratagility® for you?NO. The whole idea of Stratagility®is that it is an internal process. You can probably benefit from having a facilitator run it with you but if you only have a very small team you can do it yourself. Buy GROWTH (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09SV6DY7S) on Amazon to learn more.
-
How much does it cost?£2.99 if you do it yourself (for the book on Amazon. it is £4.99 for the printed version). If, though, you have more than 5 people in your team and a turnover of over £500,000 you can probably benefit from a facilitator. Since Stratagility® is a yearly process there is no upfront fee. I charge £750/month for 12 months to cover everything - the preliminary meeting with you and the team members, the workshop, the quarterly reviews, and all the support you need to make it a success.
-
How agile is Stratagility®?As much as you want it to be. Best practice is to review the tasks on a weekly basis, the targets on a quarterly basis, and the entire plan every year. This ensures that the plan is subject to changes enforced by your circumstances, but you can have more or less frequent reviews as you see fit.
-
I am looking for an exit. Can Stratagility® help?Definitely. Most often an exit needs to be planned a few years in advance. Stratagility® is an invaluable tool to understand the gap between where you are now, where you want to be, probably in terms of value of the business, create a plan to close this gap, and execute it.
